Combat!
Combat! is an American television program that originally aired on ABC from 1962 until 1967. The show covered the grim lives of a squad of American soldiers fighting the Germans in France during World War II. The program starred Rick Jason as platoon leader Second Lieutenant Gil Hanley and Vic Morrow as Sergeant "Chip" Saunders.

The documentary chronicles the evolution of the American infantryman from the French and Indian War (Rogers' Rangers) through the Revolutionary War, Civil War, World Wars, and the Korean War. A significant portion is also dedicated to modern (1960s) training techniques at Fort Benning, which Vic Morrow visited and where he was dubbed an "honorary Doughboy". It features gritty, realistic footage of Rangers training, Special Forces (Green Berets) training and the Airborne school.
